About the Role:

As a Turf Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital part in upholding and enhancing turf areas to ensure they remain lush, healthy, and resilient. This hands-on role involves performing regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to maintain the quality and playability of turf surfaces.

You will be responsible for monitoring turf health and proactively addressing issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through effective cultural and chemical practices. Additionally, you will implement sustainable turf management strategies, including water conservation methods, and pest management techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to maintain the quality and playability of turf surfaces.
  • Monitor turf health and proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through effective cultural and chemical practices.
  • Implement sustainable turf management strategies, including water conservation methods, and pest management techniques.
  • Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and deliver exceptional results.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations.

About You:

We are seeking an individual with a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management and previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field. Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements is essential. Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers, is also preferred.
