
Helping Adults Heal from Family Violence

This role is for a shift worker position, working primarily evening shifts on a casual basis to assist adults affected by family violence through the provision of information, assessment, brief-intervention, and other appropriate trauma-informed responses. The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously with on-call support.
Key Responsibilities- Assist adults to recover from their experience of family violence through the provision of information, assessment, counselling, referrals, group work, and other appropriate forms of therapeutic intervention.
- Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of programs and group sessions.
- Provide information and support, referral, and advice to clients and other service providers.
- Assess and monitor the ongoing risk and safety needs of the adults affected by family violence who access the service.
- A satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or in the case of self-regulated allied health professions with either full membership or eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
- Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
