Job Overview

The Shore Based Engineer is crucial for supporting vessel maintenance, including mechanical and electrical systems. This role entails ensuring the upkeep of various equipment, such as air-conditioning, refrigeration, lighting, davits, and lifting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose system issues and perform scheduled maintenance tasks as outlined in service plans.
  • Maintain accurate logs and work orders through to job completion and sign off.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), Marine Memos, operational procedures, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
  • Regularly maintain mechanical, electrical, air control, and safety equipment on vessels, tenders, pontoon, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements for emergency generators, steering, and firefighting systems.
  • Conduct fault finding and additional repairs when necessary.
