Position Overview:

We are in search of a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager with a background in selling or procuring chemical products, particularly within the animal feed sector. This role is pivotal in driving growth initiatives in the Australian market and will significantly contribute to the company's expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge in generating new business through comprehensive market research across ANZ, referrals, industry events, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Engage actively in both local and international industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and cultivate a strong professional network.
  • Establish and nurture robust commercial relationships with both prospective and existing clients, while identifying avenues for growth.
  • Craft and deliver compelling pre-sales presentations and high-level product demonstrations.
  • Manage the negotiation process, ensuring clarity on scope, delivery, and commercial terms.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to guarantee effective coordination and execution of sales strategies.
  • Generate formal monthly reports detailing key activities, sales pipeline, and performance metrics.
  • Devise and implement monthly and quarterly sales strategy plans.
  • Work in partnership with the Managing Director on sales-related tasks and provide direct reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in the sale or procurement of chemical products, ideally within the animal feed sector.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Experience in professional settings with a strong focus on customer service.
  • High interpersonal skills complemented by excellent time management abilities.
