We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Rent Connect Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and responding to customer needs, including evaluating their housing requirements and ability to sustain a tenancy in the private market.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess and respond to customer needs, identifying potential housing solutions and providing guidance on navigating the private rental market.">
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local real estate agents, lessors, non-government and government human service providers, temporary accommodation providers, and local government agencies to secure suitable rental properties for customers.">
  • Stay up-to-date with current knowledge of the local rental market and available housing options, utilizing this information to inform customer support and service delivery.">
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance inter-agency linkages and improve service delivery through participation in local initiatives.">
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Housing Officers in delivering basic Rent Connect services, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise within the team.">
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices.">
