As a Senior Ecologist, you'll play a key role in guiding land management decision-making and contributing to the delivery of biodiversity values and constraints assessments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Sydney Natural Resources & Agriculture team, working collaboratively with private and public sector clients to develop innovative project solutions. With a focus on biodiversity impact assessment, management, and offsetting, you'll have the chance to make a real difference in ensuring a sustainable future for our communities and the world we live in.

We're looking for someone with experience in biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting, accreditation to apply the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM), and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You'll also need to be able to provide technical review and guidance to less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the delivery of biodiversity values and constraints assessments, impact and offset assessments, and monitoring and management services related to project approvals and natural area management
  • Assist ecology team members in the application of the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM)
  • Biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting for high-profile major projects and preparation of Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements
  • Provide advice and direction regarding relevant regulatory frameworks and project approval pathways
  • Lead the delivery of proposals and technical reports for clients
