**About the Role**


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Aquatic Ecologist to join our Perth Environment Team. This role will involve leading and implementing aquatic ecology projects, working with a variety of clients across the Asia Pacific Region.


**Key Responsibilities**



  • Plan, lead, and implement comprehensive baseline aquatic ecology surveys and compliance monitoring programs.
  • Undertake laboratory analysis and data management, preparing technical reports to a high scientific standard.
  • Lead and manage project staff, mentoring junior staff to ensure their professional development.
  • Develop and implement environmental impact assessments, collaborating with experts across various ecological disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals and budgets to meet client and regulatory expectations.

**Requirements**



  • Tertiary qualification in Freshwater Ecology / Biology, Marine Science, or equivalent.
  • Three to ten years of professional aquatic ecology experience.
  • Strong understanding of aquatic ecology concepts, data management, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
