The Role:

  • You will provide technical ecological expertise on a range of complex projects, working collaboratively with our biodiversity specialists across the globe.
  • Support the NSW Environment Team Leader and National Ecology Lead in maintaining a sustainable pipeline of work for a growing team through business development and building awareness of the Arcadis brand.
  • Ensure technical excellence across ecology deliverables through robust quality assurance and proactive project management.
  • Taking responsibility for resource allocation, quality assurance, and client feedback, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop the technical skills of emerging ecologists, both in the field and in their reporting, and in client and project management.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, botany, ecology, biology, or related discipline.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of projects, applying standards, and managing resources.
  • Experience in leading a team of ecologists is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong capability in biodiversity field assessment, plant identification, and vegetation classification and mapping.
  • Demonstrated experience in ecological impact assessment.
  • BAM Accreditation or ability and aptitude to acquire accreditation.
  • Strong client focus and the ability to manage commercial aspects of ecology projects.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and collaborative teamwork.

Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
