Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be part of a high-profile business operating in the energy sector, with a strong executive leadership team and a commitment to growth through strategic investment and acquisitions.

This role requires delivering comprehensive financial forecasts and analysis to inform business decisions, as well as contributing to annual budgeting, business planning, and periodic forecasting submissions. Additionally, scenario modeling is essential for understanding risk and opportunity, while financial management and analysis of key performance indicators are critical components of this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver Group Forecasting & Analysis, influencing financial outcomes and ensuring accurate budgeting and forecasting practices.
  • Support the development of annual budgets and business plans, as well as contribute to periodic forecasting submissions to senior management and the board.
  • Apply scenario modeling techniques to analyze and mitigate risk, and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Drive business performance by analyzing data and providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business investments and initiatives, including financial management and analysis of key performance indicators.
  • Pursue continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all areas of responsibility.
  • Provide expert analysis to support existing and growing business units, leveraging technical expertise to drive business success.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling, with the ability to develop and maintain complex models.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, managers, and external partners.
  • A proven focus on process and systems improvement, with a commitment to driving efficiency and effectiveness across all areas of responsibility.
