We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate AOD/Mental Health Clinician to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our Youth Services team, you will provide assessment, treatment, and support to young people aged 12-25 experiencing co-existing AOD and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality engagement, assessment, treatment, and support to individuals and families accessing our services.
- Develop and implement evidence-based counselling interventions and referral pathways.
- Maintain regular communication and external stakeholder relationships.
- Contribute to the growth and development of our services, aligning with our Strategic Plan and client demand.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology (Provisional Registration with AHPRA or internship documentation sent to AHPRA within a fortnight of commencing employment).
- Valid NSW Employee Working With Children Check.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
- Clinical experience in providing evidence-based treatment.
- Ability to build rapport and engage with young people.
- Experience in delivering mental health services, including specialist skills in assessing, managing, and treating clients in a cross-cultural setting.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to impart knowledge in a learning environment.
- Flexible approach to service delivery.
- High degree of computer literacy, including experience with report writing and electronic client information management systems.
