About this role:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on large-scale mobile mining equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate in diesel fitting or relevant equivalent, as well as post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing maintenance and repair tasks on large-scale mobile mining equipment
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change-outs
  • Sourcing technical information from reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times
  • Conducting required inspections to maximize equipment utilization

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A trade certificate in diesel fitting or relevant equivalent
  2. Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry
  3. Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment
  4. Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT heavy earth moving equipment
