Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician


We are seeking an experienced technician to join our team at the Curragh North coal mining project. As a heavy equipment technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our heavy machinery.


The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of tyre and wheel assemblies, as well as experience in removing and refitting rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment.


Besides technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. You will work collaboratively with our maintenance team to deliver high-quality solutions and results.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required.
  • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to supervisor.
  • Source technical information from available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non-conformance, identify and record any equipment quality problems, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Be able to work in accordance with the site's procedures.
