Job Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Career Case Manager. The role will be based in Adelaide within a Federal Government Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake case management of complex matters and develop options for effective resolution through negotiation, mediation or formal hearing processes.
  • Obtain necessary information and expert advice to resolve cases efficiently.
  • Represent the Agency at Case Conferences, Conciliations and Hearings conducted by the AAT, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive documents outlining potential resolution options and outcomes for discussion during Case Management meetings.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with each case, including risk to participants, Scheme sustainability and the Agency's reputation.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records, including evidence supporting decision-making processes and justifying conclusions reached during case management activities.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional written communication and reporting skills.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently when required.
  • Ability to manage high workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of disability principles and legislation is highly desirable.

This position is at the APS6 level equivalent, offering remuneration commensurate with experience. The role is casually loaded, without accrual of annual or sick leave.
