Job Role Overview
  • We seek a skilled expert to administer and maintain hybrid backup environments using Commvault technology.
  • They will be responsible for monitoring system health, job performance, and storage utilisation to ensure seamless operations.
  • The ideal candidate will lead root cause analysis and resolution of backup failures, restore issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • As a senior engineer, they will provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
  • They must also ensure adherence to data retention and protection policies across the organisation.
Required Expertise
  • Deep understanding of Commvault components including CommServe, Media Agents, and client configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of backup policies, deduplication, catalogue management, and storage targets (ECS, Pure, VMAX).
  • Proficiency in VMware technology – Aria Suite, VRA/VRO Automation.
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM) and certification as an AWS Cloud Practitioner.
  • Skills in scripting and automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).
