Job SummaryWe're seeking a Senior Account Executive to execute sales strategy across the full SAS portfolio in Public Sector, including software & cloud and domain solutions.
This role is ideal for a customer-focused business thinker who is passionate about building authentic senior-level relationships and driving sales of our world-class software products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Sell SAS solutions to Public Sector customers, translating the value proposition to meet enterprise needs.
- Stay ahead of the curve, knowing SAS' goals, objectives, applications, supported hardware platforms, business trends, and industry knowledge.
- Understand SAS' pricing, licensing procedures, and approvals matrix.
- Uncover high-potential accounts and follow leads, serving as the primary contact for prospective customers.
- Work with sales professionals, customer advisory teams, and executives to react quickly to highly qualified, high-revenue potential leads.
- Prepare quotes and proposal information, and work cross-functionally to create and finalize contracts and set delivery schedules.
- Provide a superior customer experience, tracking customer satisfaction.
- Travel up to 30% (mostly domestically) or as business requires.
- 8+ years' experience in sales, computer software solutions, including related training products and services, with a focus on Public Sector.
- Ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities, relating technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs.
- Growth mindset, creativity, and a value-based selling approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, or other relevant discipline.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
- Experience selling software solutions to enterprise customers, with a focus on Analytics, SaaS, AI/ML, and/or Cloud.
- Experience and expertise selling to senior decision makers, aligning the value proposition of SAS capabilities to meet enterprise needs.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, developing a sales plan by relating SAS capabilities to enterprise challenges in Public Sector.
