Renewable Energy Development Manager

As a senior commercial leader, you will spearhead our renewable strategy and business expansion initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping our go-to-market approach, forging strategic partnerships, and guiding our transition into new energy markets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a 5-year growth plan in renewable and hybrid energy solutions
- Define value propositions and market positioning for new products and services
- Build and lead a business development team (5-6 people), coaching them through the transition into renewables
- Establish and manage partnerships with OEMs, EPCs, and channel partners
- Oversee pipeline generation, bid strategy, and deal execution
- Support product development by feeding in market intelligence and customer insights
- Collaborate with engineering, projects, and supply chain to ensure successful delivery
- Represent the business with major clients and industry stakeholders
- Proven track record in business development or strategy within BESS, hybrid power, or broader C&I energy solutions
- Strong background in client engagement, deal structuring, and partnership building
- Experience leading and developing commercial teams through a market shift
- Understanding of behind-the-meter and off-grid applications in mining, resources, or industrial sectors
- Commercial acumen to navigate both capex and funded/operated business models
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
