Job Overview

This role is a pivotal position within the Commonwealth Bank's Financial Crime Services team, reporting to the Executive Manager of COO Corporate Affairs. The Senior Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of internal communications strategies across FCS and FCO, driving key narrative and strategic messaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver comprehensive communication strategies that align with business priorities, engaging employees and stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop insights and outcomes-driven communication plans, measuring performance and improving tactics accordingly.
  • Develop and execute integrated and coordinated communication strategies, leveraging change management and employee engagement expertise to drive meaningful impact.
  • Spearhead cross-functional initiatives, rallying stakeholders around innovative ideas and executing strategies efficiently.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in developing, implementing, and measuring integrated communication strategies in a highly regulated environment.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working with multiple teams and functions to deliver strong outcomes.
  • Strong issue management experience, with a focus on maintaining high visibility and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial crime and supporting large-scale regulatory tech programs, with a background in change management and employee engagement (highly advantageous).
Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, commensurate with industry standards, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per annum. This figure is based on market rates for similar roles in Australia.
