We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a passion for automation and a desire to advance their career in the field of industrial automation. They will be responsible for promoting and complying with all safety standards, collaborating effectively with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders, and supporting electrical and software design as needed.

They will also be responsible for optimizing cycle times and improving throughput, maintaining customer relationships, assisting with electrical and software design when required, start-up, debug, and troubleshooting of PLC Controls automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer's site, and enhancing throughput at customer's site.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering or programming field
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMIs
  • Preferred knowledge of automotive body shop systems
  • Experience with Ford standards (Next Gen/ GVOSS)
  • Extensive commissioning experience
  • Preferred hardware and software design capabilities
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across North America and Canada
  • Valid passport and driver's license
  • Eligibility for a TN Visa
