At E80 Group, we are seeking an Automation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of complex automated systems on an industrial plant in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance tasks
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities as per scheduled plans
- Monitor system performance and report back to stakeholders
- Foster a strong working relationship with customers and internal teams based on trust, reliability, and technical expertise.
- Collaborate with the Direct Manager in problem-solving and organizational efforts
- Participate in regular meetings with customer referrals
- Report all performed activities, anomalies, and corrective actions to the relevant parties
- Provide on-the-job training to customer personnel
- Assist in promoting improvement activities, modifications, and extensions to the system or equipment
- Manage spare parts inventory and suggest reorders as needed
- Maintain security documentation required by customers and organize the maintenance area, tools, and equipment

Technical Requirements:

- A degree in electromechanical engineering or industrial automation
- Past experience in roles such as electromechanical or transfer technician, electrician, or automation engineer, operating in the automation or plant sector
- Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
- Proficiency in Siemens PLC, Beckhoff, Fanuc, Allen Bradley; Rockwell is considered an asset but not mandatory
- Soft Skills: Proactivity, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills
