Role Summary

This role involves working closely with clients who reside within accommodations provided by our organisation, developing rapport and forming meaningful professional relationships. The Disability Support Worker role assists clients to achieve their goals, increase independence, and participate within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing assistance with daily living activities such as toileting, showering, dressing, cooking, and cleaning
  • Supporting clients with psychosocial requirements
  • Liaising with families and representatives of clients as required
  • Promoting positive behaviours, learning experiences, and skill development

Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Proof of working rights - Passport or visa
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Previous experience as a support worker in the health/disability sector or relevant Cert III qualification (highly desirable)

Working Environment

This role will be based at accommodations located in Logan and Griffin, working with clients who require support with daily living and psychosocial needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of individuals with disability and psychosocial requirements. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing support and promoting positive outcomes for clients.
