Job Title: CFO - Strategic Finance Leader

Description:

We are seeking a high-calibre finance professional to lead our financial strategy and drive operational excellence across our Australian operations.

This role is critical in scaling our business, optimising financial performance, and supporting complex project financing and investment decisions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies and risk frameworks.
  • Oversee all core finance functions: financial control, reporting, tax, treasury, audit and compliance.
  • Manage capital strategy, including project financing, debt structuring and equity management.
  • Spearhead M&A activity and drive value creation across new and existing assets.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including the CEO, board members and external partners.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of ~20 across several finance sub-functions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of Australian corporate and tax regulations, IFRS and multi-entity structures.
  • Proven experience in complex project finance, treasury and capital markets.
  • Background in Big 4 advisory, audit or transaction services preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including board-level communication.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with a hands-on, pragmatic leadership style.
