We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Underwriter to join our team at Reo Group. As a Business Development Underwriter, you will be responsible for engaging with our broker portfolio, educating them on our products and services, and growing our policy count.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with Brokers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Grow Policy Count: Capture on-the-spot business with your own delegated authority or relay back to your underwriting team.
- Manage Broker Portfolio: Utilize technology for planning and execution to manage your desk and perform administrative duties with regular CRM updating.
- Develop and Execute Strategy: Build and execute your strategy to penetrate the market and partner with your immediate BD team and other divisions to assist your clients and decision-making.
- Highly Energetic and Engaging: You must be highly energetic, engaging, and competitive with a strong focus on customer service.
- Insurer Background: You should have an insurer background, preferably with previous roles in relationship management or BDU roles.
- Commercial Insurance Experience: You should have experience with client-focused commercial or specialist insurance products, preferably business pack, for SME to mid-market clients.
