About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SME Underwriter to join our team at Zurich Insurance Company. As an SME Underwriter, you will play a critical role in analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business, interacting with the market, and utilizing our Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and underwrite new and renewal business, ensuring a high level of service to customers.
  • Regularly interact and face the market, utilizing our Underwriting Framework within delegated authority levels.
  • Work closely with the SME Underwriting Manager to drive a solution-focused underwriting culture and ensure consistent adherence to Zurich's Underwriting guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide market feedback and competitor analysis solutions to improve Zurich's market offering.
Requirements
  • ANZIIF Associate Insurance qualifications.
  • Experience in SME Packages (preferable).
  • Insurance knowledge of Underwriting Packages business, relevant legislation, and regulations governing General Insurance.
  • Knowledge of quoting systems.
  • Strong understanding of and proven relationships across all broker networks.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset.
  • Deal management experience and sales closure skills.
  • Ability to communicate and influence a broad set of stakeholders across various levels.
