Project Manager Position at City of Newcastle

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at the City of Newcastle. As a key member of our Project Management Office, you will play a crucial role in delivering programs and projects that meet the needs of our community.

Job Description

This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive salary of $120,061.83 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex programs and projects, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage programs and projects from initiation to delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including frontline business leaders and project staff
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on program and project delivery, portfolio and program governance, project development, and quality and compliance management
  • Ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as business administration or project management
  • Proven experience in managing complex programs and projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
