As a key leader in our Commercial Markets Crew, you'll play a pivotal role in driving top-line growth and executing our go-to-market and underwriting strategy. You'll be responsible for defining the cultural standards for your team and ensuring effective collaboration across sales and underwriting to achieve a strong market focus.
With a high degree of engagement in the market and across deal-making activities, especially in complex and highly visible accounts, you'll integrate risk engineering and claims capabilities to ensure a whole-of-account view is taken.
The purpose of this role is to underwrite commercial Property and Marine insurance in accordance with Group, ZAIL, and Zurich Australia requirements and financial and operational objectives, and lead the team of underwriters in State to achieve the desired business outcomes.
Important to your success - let's grow together
- Bachelor degree or appropriate equivalent qualification (Financial markets, Economics, Financial management)
- ANZIIF CIP member or equivalent experience
- Multiple years underwriting experience across a range of technical underwriting disciplines.
- Previous people management experience, leading a multi-tiered management environment.
- Commercially astute with a comprehensive understanding of the General Insurance industry and the products available.
- Proven technical underwriting capability ideally in Property or Marine lines
- Proven examples of growing a business and delivering change in a complex insurance environment.
- Proven ability to execute on strategic plans and company initiatives
