Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Katherine, Northern Territory.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a remote setting, providing occupational therapy services to clients across the lifespan. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality care to individuals and groups.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including those with disabilities, injuries, and chronic conditions. You will also have the chance to develop your skills in remote and community-based practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and participation
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an occupational therapist
  • Registration with AHPRA
  • Current driver's license
  • Ochre Card (NT Working with Children's Check)
  • Police Check (to be completed by employer)
  • Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check (to be completed by employer)
  • Commitment to providing allied health services in remote areas, including willingness to relocate/live in Katherine
Benefits:
  • Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum (pro rata), based on experience
  • Relocation assistance up to $7,000
  • Accommodation allowance available
  • Opportunity for remote and community work
  • 6 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
