The role of Senior Major Events Officer is pivotal in leading the planning and execution of major events that showcase our region.

About the Role:

  • Oversee event strategy, ensuring timely delivery with excellent outcomes.
  • Develop comprehensive event management plans, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Secure sponsorships and partnerships to enhance event success.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to maximise community engagement.
  • Manage event logistics, supplier contracts, and venue bookings efficiently.
  • Evaluate event success and recommend improvements for future events.

Key Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Events Management or equivalent experience.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering large-scale events.
  • Experience in budget management, sponsorship acquisition, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
