Event Planning Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Events Officer. The successful candidate will have experience in planning and executing large-scale events, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for the community.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of major sporting events and additional signature events, ensuring they are delivered on time and with quality.
  • Develop event management plans, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Secure funding, sponsorships, and partnerships to enhance event success.
  • Work closely with internal teams to maximise community engagement.
  • Oversee event logistics, supplier contracts, and venue bookings.
  • Evaluate event success and recommend improvements for future events.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Events Management, or equivalent experience in event or venue management.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering large-scale events.
  • Experience in budget management, sponsorship acquisition, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
