Are you an experienced events professional with a passion for delivering large-scale events that make a real impact? The City of Bunbury is seeking a dynamic Senior Major Events Officer to take charge of planning and executing the City\'s major Sporting events, as well as developing additional high-profile events that showcase our vibrant region.
About the Role
As the Senior Major Events Officer, you will:
- Lead the planning and execution of major events and additional signature events, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop event management plans, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Secure funding, sponsorships, and partnerships to enhance event success.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing & Communications, Economic Development, and Tourism, to maximise community engagement.
- Oversee event logistics, supplier contracts, and venue bookings.
- Evaluate event success and recommend improvements for future events.
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Events Management, or equivalent experience in event or venue management.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering large-scale events.
- Experience in budget management, sponsorship acquisition, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
