The Role: Investigator, Molecular Genetics and Genomics.
About the JobAs an investigator in the Pradhan lab, you will be working on a project that focuses on understanding the relationship between chromatin packaging and transcriptional regulation during development and disease in mammalian cells using single cell technologies. You will conceptualize and conduct experiments to support research projects, ensuring methodological consistency and adherence to timelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Experimental Design and Execution: Develop and implement experiment designs, ensuring alignment with research goals and objectives.
- Literature Review: Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to inform experiment design, report development, and presentations.
- Publishing Research: Write and publish articles in peer-reviewed, open-access journals, showcasing academic excellence and scientific leadership.
- Collaboration and Management: Participate in and manage collaborative research within and outside the lab, facilitating idea exchange and experiment implementation.
- PhD in Molecular Biology or Related Field: Recent PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, or genomics with strong bioinformatics skills.
- Single Cell Technology Expertise: Proficiency in using single cell or low cell number experimental and/or clinical samples.
- Analysis Pipelines and Databases: Familiarity with open-source DNA-seq, Bisulfite-seq, ChIP-seq, and RNA-seq analysis pipelines, and public databases (e.g., TCGA, UCSC Genome Browser, Ensembl).
