Communications Specialist Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to support organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging content for various channels, including media releases, social media posts, and newsletters.
  • Develop and deliver internal communications to enhance employee engagement and organisational performance.
  • Plan and implement high-quality communication activities and plans for Council projects that enhance our corporate brand.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualifications in communications, journalism, or marketing.
  • Minimum of three to four years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of planning and implementing strategic communications plans.
  • Strong writing and copy-editing skills, as well as experience using a range of social media platforms.
  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders and manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
