Job Overview

We are looking for collaborative and team-oriented Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering Team. In this role, you will be performing predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on equipment across our plant.

  • Ensure that required work has appropriate Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA), Take 5, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Management of Change (MOC).
  • Perform duties and work assigned on daily schedule to a high standard in 5S, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Work will include machining, piping/ equipment installation, centrifugal and air diaphragm pump overhauls, dry break coupling overhauls, mechanical seal overhauls, valve/ gearbox overhauls, pump alignment, PVC piping.
  • Take ownership of workload and, through communication with supervisor, complete maintenance jobs ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by participating/ practising 5S, toolbox meetings or investigations to improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain records of equipment spares and repairs undertaken using maintenance software.
  • Prepare pre-work packs before commencing work (scoping, JSEA preparation, job checklists) to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
  • Ensure the workshops are kept to a high standard of housekeeping and perform 5S audits.
About You

You're a qualified and experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter with demonstrated experience in the Chemical industry or similar (DG Goods/Schedule 14). You're a problem solver who has a commitment to continuous improvement activities while being safety conscious.
