Production Geoscientist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Geoscientist to join our team in Brisbane, Australia. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geoscience and experience working in a production environment.

About the Role

The role involves acting as an individual contributor in production geology within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting an Operated Coal-Seam-Gas (CSG) producing asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply geoscience expertise to deliver technical projects and studies.
  • Present analyses and recommendations in reviews and peer assists.
  • Provide reliable prognoses for safe well operations.
  • Conduct static reservoir characterization for CBM reservoirs.
  • Identify and incorporate uncertainties into modeling and development plans.
  • Support FDP delivery and ensure consistency across teams.
  • Document evaluations and handle data per standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in geoscience, including CSG reservoir characterization, well correlations, reservoir assessments, static modeling, WRFM support, and volumetric estimation.
  • Proficiency in Petrel software and Python scripting.
  • Experience in well planning and execution for new and P&A wells.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across subsurface, commercial, tenures, and engineering.
