About the Role The role involves acting as an individual contributor in production geology within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting an Operated Coal-Seam-Gas (CSG) producing asset.
Position: Production Geoscientist Location: Brisbane Contract Duration: 12 months Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Experience / Skills: Proven experience in geoscience, including CSG reservoir characterization, well correlations, reservoir assessments, static modeling, WRFM support, and volumetric estimation.
Proficiency in Petrel software and Python scripting.
Experience in well planning and execution for new and P&A wells.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across subsurface, commercial, tenures, and engineering.
Experience in CSG/CBM geoscience and Surat basin geology.
Additional Responsibilities: Apply geoscience expertise to deliver technical projects and studies.
Present analyses and recommendations in reviews and peer assists.
Provide reliable prognoses for safe well operations.
Conduct static reservoir characterization for CBM reservoirs.
Identify and incorporate uncertainties into modeling and development plans.
Support FDP delivery and ensure consistency across teams.
Document evaluations and handle data per standards.
Typical Duties: Work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
Address technical challenges with guidance.
Integrate geoscience input into projects.
Mentor junior staff and promote HSSE culture.
Manage stakeholder relationships at a tactical level.
