
Intelligence Fraud Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team focused on fraud prevention and deterrence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strategic intelligence products that provide valuable insights into trends across fraud systems and investigation outcomes.
- Deliver actionable intelligence to support decision-making across investigation teams.
- Identify risks and opportunities for existing fraud control measures through risk assessment practices and translate insight into tactical project and detection design.
- Produce timely intelligence assessments for leadership to assist in decision-making and strategic direction regarding fraud controls.
- Monitor, test, review, and report on fraud typologies on a monthly basis and compile an annual report in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for writing reports and presenting oral briefings on fraud trends within the industry.
- Support investigators in reviewing potentially fraudulent claims.
- Work closely with underwriting to identify and report new and emerging fraud risks.
- A tertiary level qualification in intelligence, data analytics, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in data analysis and statistical analytics, including the analysis of large datasets with previous research and investigation experience.
- Demonstrable skills in converting data analysis into actionable business recommendations in clear ROI terms.
- Strong experience conducting research using Open-Source Intelligence tools and skills with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using analytics and visualization tools such as SAS and PowerBI.
- Insurance and/or financial services experience is highly desirable.
- A well-developed understanding of legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations operating in the finance sector is essential.
