Job Title: Procurement Director

This is a highly experienced role based in Sydney or Melbourne, working with a leading supplier of Hardgoods, DIY & general consumables.

About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Director to lead our sourcing efforts nationally and internationally. You will develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for a range of products across various categories, ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business needs while achieving cost efficiency and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout procurement activities.
  • Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the sourcing process.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on industrial equipment, electrical products, and safety equipment.
  • Proven experience in international sourcing and procurement, with knowledge of global markets.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in handling ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Valid legal authorization to work in Australia.
