About the Role:

The Bernardi Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nightfill Duty Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supermarket operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the store during nightfill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of employees to achieve expected standards and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure the store is clean and tidy at all times, with a focus on customer service and safety.
  • Implement and maintain store procedures as per the Bernardi Group standard.
  • Monitor and control stock levels, including fast-moving sections such as fresh produce and dairy.
  • Undertake regular store walks to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the store, including securing the premises and ensuring all cash registers are locked in the safe.

Requirements:

  • Recent relevant retail experience, preferably in a supermarket environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently to a set routine.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Desirable qualifications include First Aid, Food Safety, and RSA certificates.
