Journalism Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled journalist to join our team in Bendigo. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced newsroom, reporting on stories that matter to central Victoria.

This role will involve producing high-quality journalism under deadline, with a focus on digital engagement and audience growth. You will be expected to drive impactful storytelling and help set the local agenda.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in writing, research, and analysis, as well as strong communication and presentation skills. A tertiary qualification in journalism or a related field is also essential.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting on local news and events
  • Producing engaging content for digital platforms
  • Collaborating with the editorial team to achieve shared goals
  • Presenting data and visualising it to strengthen reporting

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of producing high-quality journalism
  • Strong writing, research, and analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Confidence presenting data and visualising it
  • Tertiary qualification in journalism or a related field
