Operations Manager Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise our day-to-day business operations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in operational management, with experience in the transport, logistics or manufacturing sectors.

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily manufacturing and service operations.
  • Implement systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency and quality.
  • Manage supply chains, stock, inventory, and project timelines.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and leading team members, including training and performance reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS (Work Health & Safety) and transport regulations.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain high service levels.
  • Preparing operational reports and contributing to strategic planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an operations management role, preferably in transport, logistics or manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced understanding of operational KPIs and continuous improvement processes.
  • Proficient with digital management tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory software, MS Office).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Prior experience managing operations in the heavy vehicle sector, understanding of HVAC or mechanical system installations, experience working in or with Australian businesses, English language fluency are all highly desirable.
