Job Title: Business Development

A strategic leader is sought to spearhead our defence strategy and business development efforts in Australia and New Zealand. This key role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the capture of Defence and Security opportunities in training systems integration and mission support.

About This Role

This senior-level position will oversee a portfolio of business development and capture activities, developing credible opportunity pipelines with clear routes to contract. The successful candidate will secure order intake for services and product sales, meet or exceed regional and international targets, and drive new services and product offerings by identifying market opportunities and applications.

The ideal candidate will lead capture and bid teams, ensuring planning and execution meets time, quality, and solution specifications. They will also shape client and market perspectives regarding CAE capability and make actionable recommendations for new products and services.

  • Maintain strong relationships across defence business units to support in-service support for DCS and FMS opportunities.
  • Support the development and positioning of CAE capabilities to win opportunities within the ANZ Defence market.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive market offerings and new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain customer and end-user relationships.
  2. Public relations and media campaigns.
  3. Stakeholder and political strategic analysis.

The successful candidate will contribute to the overall leadership of the enterprise, developing a high level of awareness of specific needs, potential solutions, and strategic stakeholders in assigned training services projects. They will maintain and enhance the Company's reputation with customers through regular contact with key customer and industry executives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree.
  • 5-8 years job-related experience.
  • Minimum 10 years pertinent general defence experience.
  • Able to hold an appropriate level of Australian/New Zealand security classification.
  • Experience operating at an executive/senior level.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical field or business.
