Key Role Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to provide technical expertise in implementing and maintaining cyber defence incident/threat detection and response capabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the technical operational team in Cyber Security Incident Response activities for our organisation.
  • Reviewing current technical detection and response capabilities and providing guidance on how to address identified gaps.
  • Implementing tools and technologies to enable our organisation to respond to various types of malware and threat actors.
  • Performing monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on enterprise security tools, SIEM, Firewalls, Antivirus systems, proxy devices etc.
  • Proactively responding to potential cyber issues following pre-defined actions.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing cyber defence strategies in large, complex organisations.

  • Proven experience managing Cyber Security Incidents in large, complex organisations, leading technical operational teams and executives through these incidents.
  • Proven experience building out and managing cyber threat detection and response capabilities.
  • Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal, presentation and consultation skills with the ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with senior staff.
Desirable Qualifications
  • ICT or information security tertiary or industry certifications such as OSCP, GCFA, GCIH and other GIAC certifications.
