About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Security Strategist to join our Global Security Team. This is a key leadership position that requires a proven track record of supporting complex security programs, preferably with a background in Defence Industry or Defence Security.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland. As the Chief Security Strategist, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting security requirements, responsibilities, and compliance activities for our customers and stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior leaders and customers.
  • Creating highly technical security governance products for our assets and facilities.
  • Delivering security briefings and training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing protective security subject matter expertise to programs, including the management of high security areas.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working as a Security Specialist in a large Defence Industry prime contractor or with the Australian Department of Defence.
  • Experience managing multiple classified programs or large secure sites and facilities.
  • Working knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and security practices and procedures relating to high security locations and programs.
  • Experience in managing Australian Government Classified Information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Current Defence Security Officer Course certification and ability to attain Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2).
