Workshop Operations Manager

About this role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Operations Manager to spearhead the expansion of our workshop operations across Australia.
- Oversee daily workshop activities ensuring efficient service delivery and high-quality standards.
- Manage a team of technicians and support staff providing guidance, training, and support.
- Develop processes to streamline workshop operations including scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.
- Expand workshop services to include customer-owned bike servicing and repairs as well as parts sales.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for expanding workshop operations nationwide.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment adhering to relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Build relationships with suppliers and industry partners to ensure timely delivery of parts and negotiate favorable terms.
Key qualifications
- Proven experience in workshop management preferably in the automotive or motorcycle industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with motorcycle and scooter servicing and repair techniques including various makes and models.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and experience with inventory control systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
