We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Project Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of a project aimed at updating the Aboriginal Maternal and Infant Care Skill Set.

Responsibilities include working with various stakeholders, including Member Services, RTO staff, industry experts, and other key parties to identify and coordinate resource updates and address changes required to course units.

The role also involves coordinating key processes such as facilitating stakeholder consultation, collecting and synthesising stakeholder input, and providing regular updates to involved parties.

Additionally, the position requires coordination of project planning, monitoring, reporting, and budget management in accordance with funding requirements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the vocational education and training sector.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within the education or health sector and collaborate with professionals from various disciplines.
  • Proven experience collaborating with Aboriginal communities on projects or programs, contributing to the design and implementation of initiatives.
  • Requirement that the incumbent identifies as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent pursuant to the exemption from the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA).

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working experience in the Aboriginal maternal and infant care field.
  • Experience in developing and reviewing VET skills sets.
  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Maternal and Infant Care Skill Set – Clinical or other relevant qualification with experience working in the field.

Other Information:

  • May require out-of-normal-hours work.
  • Requires ability to travel intra-state and interstate, including overnight absences.
  • Need for National Police Certificate.
