Job Title: Commercial Expert for Emerging Projects
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled commercial expert to join our Network Emerging Projects team. This is a 12-month maximum term contract to cover for a maternity leave backfill.
The Opportunity:
- Drive non-network solution negotiations and ensure commercial frameworks align with system needs while balancing risk and expectations.
You will be a dynamic professional who thrives on strategy, innovation, and collaboration – someone who can shape the future and guide one or more emerging major projects to success.
An ability to be flexible and take on challenges with finesse and ease is crucial. Problem solving will be second nature which you will always manage with confidentiality and sensitivity in mind.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the commercial workstream on one or more emerging major projects.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth and improve project outcomes.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, investors, and contractors.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in project development, delivery, and operations with a focus on commercial roles.
- Extensive experience in legal and commercial workstream leadership roles of infrastructure projects delivered under structured and/or regulated framework.
- Highly developed business acumen – understanding of commercial framework applicable to project finance and other financial transactions.
