Senior Commercial Manager

Overview12-month maternity leave contract - October 2025 start date.
The Opportunity: Are you ready to play an integral role in our Network Emerging Projects team?
We're looking for a commercial expert to own the commercial workstream on one or more emerging major projects, driving non-network solution negotiations and ensuring commercial frameworks align with system needs while balancing risk and expectations.
This is a 12-month maximum term contract to cover for a maternity leave backfill.

You will be a passionate and driven professional with extensive experience in a Commercial landscape and infrastructure projects development, delivery, and operations.Become part of an organisation that values innovation, foresight, and commercial excellence.Skills & Experience5-10 years professional experience in project development, delivery and/operations with a key focus on commercial workstream rolesExtensive proven experience in legal and commercial workstream leadership roles of infrastructure projects delivered under structured and/or regulated frameworkRecent or current experience in large-scale network infrastructure asset structured processes is highly desirableUnderstanding of the National Electricity Rules and other key regulatory frameworks that govern the electricity sector in Australia is highly desirableHighly developed business acumen – understanding of commercial framework applicable to project finance and other financial transactionsAdvanced knowledge of commercial issues relevant to sponsors, and investors, in concession style projectsQualificationsTertiary qualifications (bachelor level) in finance, law, engineering or in a relevant disciplineAdditional graduate or post graduate qualifications in one of the above areas or qualifications in business (desirable)Our ValuesTransgrid's core values encompass safety, achievement, integrity, and service.
