The Opportunity

Are you ready to play an integral role in our Network Emerging Projects team? We're looking for a commercial expert to own the commercial workstream on one or more emerging major projects, driving non-network solution negotiations and ensuring commercial frameworks align with system needs while balancing risk and expectations. We're looking for a someone to shape commercial strategy, drive legal and commercial workstream leadership, and manage advisors, governance, and regulatory considerations. This is a 12-month maximum term contract to cover for a maternity leave backfill.

You will have an ability to be flexible and take on challenges with finesse and ease. Problem solving will be second nature which you will always manage with confidentiality and sensitivity in mind. You will be a passionate and driven professional with extensive experience in a Commercial landscape and infrastructure projects development, delivery, and operations.

Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years professional experience in project development, delivery and/operations with a key focus on commercial workstream roles
• Extensive proven experience in legal and commercial workstream leadership roles of infrastructure projects delivered under structured and/or regulated framework
• Recent or current experience in large-scale network infrastructure asset structured processes is highly desirable
• Understanding of the National Electricity Rules and other key regulatory frameworks that govern the electricity sector in Australia is highly desirable
• Highly developed business acumen – understanding of commercial framework applicable to project finance and other financial transactions
• Advanced knowledge of commercial issues relevant to sponsors, and investors, in concession style projects

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications (bachelor level) in finance, law, engineering or in a relevant discipline
• Additional graduate or post graduate qualifications in one of the above areas or qualifications in business (desirable)
