About our role:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to join our team and contribute to the effective operation of our school's ICT infrastructure. Located in Brisbane, Australia, we focus on providing a rigorous academic program and holistic education to highly capable students in Years 7 to 12.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and assistance on maximising ICT operations within the school, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, repair and replacement.
  • Support staff and students with technical advice, instruction and assistance with electronic equipment, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and routine repairs to all ICT facilities and associated electronic equipment.
  • Maintain technical services and records related to the support of ICT infrastructure.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on technical matters and provide advice as required.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of server hardware and configuration, networking peripherals and PC desktop and laptop systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong client focus and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.
  • Experience using remote support tools to support servers and workstations remotely.
  • Sound working knowledge of network security and protocols.
