Job Title: Technical Leadership Role

The department is embarking on a major network infrastructure upgrade, incorporating broadband enhancements and related solutions. This role will provide technical support, expertise, and capacity across all initiatives and day-to-day activities as required.

As the Technical Manager you will oversee multiple teams of skilled technical resources in delivering key ICT services, contribute to the evolution of the department's strategic vision for the ICT platform, and provide strategic and technical design advice on developing and deploying new and existing enterprise-wide solutions and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive significant improvements and measurable business benefits by identifying, proposing, initiating and leading substantial programs of improvement relating to the delivery of ICT services.
  • Lead the creation and review of systems capability strategies that meet the strategic requirements of the business, develop enterprise-wide architecture and processes.
  • Provide high-level advice and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of critical activities on major information management and information technology.

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge in the information technology field with proven ability to provide strategic and policy advice, and to develop and implement strategies and operational policies for information technology management services.
  • High-level analytical skills and proven ability to propose cost-effective and creative solutions to both technical and administrative problems and experience in translating business needs into technical solutions.
