Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers in Melbourne. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing personalized care and support based on individual needs and preferences
  • Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, community access and general day-to-day activities
  • Building meaningful relationships with clients to foster trust and communication
  • Promoting independence and empowering individuals to achieve their goals

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in disability support or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • Completed qualification of minimum Certificate IV Disability or Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence and insured, reliable car
  • NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Compassion, empathy and patience in working with individuals with disabilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
